The announcement of André Freire's death has shocked us all. The CCS scientific community has lost a great colleague, collaborator, and, above all, a dear friend. Many have already commented on André's numerous academic contributions and accomplishments. He left a deep mark and legacy across diverse research areas, from the study of political elites and left-wing parties to the analysis of political ideologies, electoral, and political behavior in Europe and beyond.

The very first release of the Comparative Candidates Survey (CCS) Module III dataset has just been published! This release includes 5 elections in 5 countries:
Portugal 2019
Switzerland 2019
Ireland 2020
Romania 2020
Canada 2021
Since 2005, the Comparative Candidate Survey (CCS) has been conducted successfully in more than 25 countries, with a common core questionnaire. Through this project, high quality comparative elite data of candidates running for parliamentary elections has been collected (see http://www.comparativecandidates.org).
We are pleased to announce that we will have the Comparative Candidate Survey (CCS) Business Meeting at this year’s ECPR General Conference in Innsbruck. If you are attending the General Conference, you are kindly invited to join us on Wednesday, 24 August 2022, at 13:00 - 14:00 in Building: C, Floor: 5, Room: 551&552

The fifth release of the CCS II dataset has just been published. It now includes 30 elections in 21 countries, with the following elections recently being added: UK 2015, UK 2017, Norway 2017 and Estonia 2019. Please see:
